March for Our Lives was a student-led demonstration in support of stronger gun violence prevention measures, following the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida.
Between January 1, 2018 and March 24, 2018 (the day of the March), the total number of gun deaths was 3,178 people. My friend and I attended the NYC March wearing 3,178 marks on our bodies, one mark for each life taken.
Any steps we can take to remove guns from the equation can and WILL result in less death. Visit Everytown for Gun Safety to learn more and donate. Vote out anyone in our government who supports or is supported by the NRA. Speak out, get loud.
